Hi all hope i am posting in the right area , please move if incorrect.
I just need to find out if a company is allowed to make you pay for you company travel out of your salary and then you would have to claim it back , the reason is I reasontly had a situation where i needed to be sent out and I did not have enough money to pay for the travel and thus had to ask for petty cash and was asked by management why i did not have any money.
Please help as i need to decide whether to take this up or not.
PS I live in the UK
Thanking you in advance Regards Darren

Darren thanks for your post. I'm afraid this forum is dedicated to company law and as such I don't think you'll find the answer to your query - which is essentially employment rights. As I understand it it is quite normal and the general norm for a company to reimburse employees for out of pocket expenses and normally the company will have a policy document or it might be covered in your employment contract.
