I have been a shareholder of a small company for 3 years and to date there has not been an AGM. What does UK Company Law require on frequency of AGMs?

Since 2007 , the Companies Act 2006 no longer requires private companies to hold AGMs. The company's Articles of Association may, however, do so.

However, for the vast majority of shareholders, better corporate governance requires the directors, through the chairman, to present their comments much closer to when annual results are released.
