Hi, first post, hope someone can point me in the right direction.
I am a small shareholder in a private limited company which runs a 'share save' scheme. I have been concerned that the shares have not been purchased and on asking the Company Secretary recently of this information, he has confirmed this to be the case. On complaining to the organisers of the Share Save scheme, which is a separate body (a Supporters Trust) they have done nothing but dither over it.
I then asked the Limited company itself to see the Shareholders Register just so I can see when my shares were actually purchased and at what regularity over the course of the last six years, and have now asked them by phone (Company Secretary 'never available') and over email. Each time my request has been ignored. What can I do next? I have been advised to issue them with a series of dates to that I can attend the offices to inspect the register, but the company simply isn't even bothering to respond.
