Hi. Can anyone please help me with this matter.......?

I have recently been off work for a period of two weeks. During the first week of absence, my doctor told me to 'self-cert' and then I had to be signed off for another week as I was no better. Anyway, during the first week, and my Manager knew the situation, I was contacted almost everyday by either text to my mobile, or phone call. Is this leagal? I felt pressured and like I was 'letting the team down' due to my absence. I needed time to recover peacefully, but all I got was 'when are you coming back' and 'you need to call the area manager to explain'.

Sorry it's so long. Where do I stand? What can I do?
