resigned directors withholding company records 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago

hi companylawforum,
I am a Director of the Management Company for a block of flats - basically a Residents' association, collecting the management fee, paying the buildings insurance, gardening costs, etc. I was self-employed via a limited company a few years ago, so I have a basic grasp of how a company should be run, but that's about it
the block of flats is only a few years old & the previous Directors were the two owners of the building firm who built the property. around 6 months ago they resigned & handed over the company to 5 of the flat owners who had expressed a wish to be directors
the issue is that, 6 months on, we have still not had all the company documents & accounts handed over. do we have any legal recourse to demand this information from them? & if so, how would we go about issuing this demand to them?
any advice much appreciated
regards
Andy
