The codification of Directors' duties is an unnessary step because the oommon law has already addressed there duties prior to Company Act 2006. Any comments?

Retification: What i meant to say was ' The codification of Directors' duties were an unnecessary step because the common law has been addressing their breach of duty prior to Company Act 2006. Any comments?'
