The European Company Statute (SE) was launched five years ago and enables companies operating in more than one Member State reorganisation of their cross-border business under one European label. The purpose of this statute is to enable companies to work within one stable legal framework and to reduce costs and be more competitive.
The EC has launched a study and consultation in order to review the statute and increase the use of the SE across the European Union. A questionnaire, together with more information on the SE, is available at:
