The European Commission has opened consultation on its Directive on the harmonisation of transparency requirements in relation to information about issuers whose securities are admitted to trading on a regulated market (2004/109/EC). This consultation document (pdf) has been published on the Europa site with a report (pdf). The consultation document is the basis for a public consultation on possible ways forward to modernise the transparency regime for listed companies. Consultatation is open until 23 August 2010.
