EC Green Paper: The EU corporate governance framework |

The European Commission
has published a Green Paper on corporate governance in Europe. The Paper
launches a public consultation, inviting views from citizens, organisations and
public authorities, on ways of improving existing corporate governance
mechanisms.
The objective of the
Green Paper is to have a broad debate on the issues raised, allowing interested
parties to see which areas the Commission has identified as relevant in the
field of corporate governance. The consultation also allows for interested
parties to flag items that the Commission has not considered so far. The
Green Paper (pdf) is available on the Europa website. Consultation closes on 22 July 2011.
