Discover the latest developments in schemes of arrangement and the impact of the Takeover Directive in practice.

Date: 31 January 2008

Time: 08:50 - 16:45

Venue: Central London

Organiser: LexisNexis Butterworths

The Takeover Directive has had time to bed down in the UK, but the regulations underpinning takeover activity are still evolving rapidly.

The Panel has now recognised the increasing use of schemes of arrangement in takeovers. Their Consultation Paper aims to codify the application of the Code to schemes. How will this impact on the tactical side of using schemes?

Butterworths third annual Takeover Code conference will address these and many other issues to make sure you keep up with developing market practice.

Noel Hinton will deliver the keynote address on the Takeover Panel's perspective on the recent developments.

He will then be followed by Linklaters' Richard Godden and Herbert Smith's James Palmer, who will guide through the latest takeover developments.

There will be plenty of time to put your questions to the experts during the Q&A session and to participate in an interactive panel session on how schemes of arrangement are influencing the takeover landscape.
